The Dubai Film and TV Commission (DFTC) was founded in 2012 to establish Dubai and the UAE as a filming destination for local, regional and international productions. It assists productions in Dubai by issuing shooting permits and serving as a one-stop shop for producers, crews and filmmakers to ensure that filming in in the emirate is as easy and efficient as possible.

Dubai is no stranger to filmmaking, with over 6,000 productions completed since 2005. From blockbuster feature films Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol and Syriana, to TV series such as Amazing Race and Heber Al Eyoon, and to award-winning commercials and corporate videos, Dubai has consistently been an important production base for local and international filmmakers alike.

With its limitless locations, deep production talent pool, state-of-the-art soundstages, a supportive government and a knowledgeable film and TV commission, Dubai is a can’t miss filming destination.

Since 2005, over 6,000 films, TV series, commercials and corporate videos have been produced in Dubai.
